Lifco acquires the majority of Norwegian Hydal

Lifco’s subsidiary Cenika has signed an agreement to acquire the majority of Norwegian Hydal, Scandinavia’s leading supplier of aluminum cabinets for outdoor and indoor use.  

Hydal develops and produces aluminum cabinets and shelters, control desks, racks and cabinet air-conditioning in close cooperation with customers in the telecommunication and electrotechnical industry.

The operation was founded in 1977 and Hydal is located in Håvik, Norway. In 2016, Hydal reported net sales of approximately 50 MNOK. The company employs 25 people and will be consolidated in Business Area Systems Solutions, division Construction Material.

The acquisition will not have any significant effect on Lifco’s earnings or financial position in current financial year.
